The program consists of online theory training and behind the wheel (BTW) hands-on training. The online portion must be completed first. It is self paced, but must be completed within 21 days. BTW training, which includes range, driving, backing and port of entry site visit, varies in duration by CDL type and experience. A typical "Class A" student can expect to complete their hands-on training in four weeks.

Entry-Level Driver Thoery (ELDT)

Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) Theory is the first step toward earning a Commercial Driver License (CDL). This self-paced online course meets Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements and provides the foundational knowledge needed for safe commercial vehicle operation. Students must successfully complete ELDT Theory before beginning hands-on Behind-the-Wheel training. The course is designed to prepare future drivers for obtaining their Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP) and advancing to CDL skills training.
